RIO DE JANEIRO WELCOMES YOU WITH OPEN ARMS…
"My soul sings
I see my Rio de Janeiro
Oh, I miss it so much…
Rio, your sea
Your endless beaches
Rio you were made just for me..."
Song by Tom Jobim

What to do in Rio
Rio de Janeiro is a sight for sore eyes. Always keep in mind that you are in a cosmopolitan city. Here are some suggestions of what to do during your free time:
Sunny Days - Rio has over 30 km of beaches for you to choose from. Spending the day at the beach is the Carioca’s, Rio’s inhabitants, favorite pastime. The “hottest” beaches in Rio are: Leme, Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Barra da Tijuca, and Recreio dos Bandeirants. Pick one and have a great time! A few other alternatives are: to ride a paddle boat at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, go hang-gliding, or sunbathe at Aterro do Flamengo.
Cloudy Days – walking is one of the best forms of exercise and on cloudy days in Rio you should stroll along the Aterro do Flamengo or Copacabana Beach’s sidewalk. You can also visit the Zoo, Botanical Garden or Parque Lage (an arboreal park).
Rainy Days – on those days take the chance to visit our museums. The Modern Art Museum and National History Museum are excellent choices. In addition, request information about any exhibitions or shows that are taking place during the time of your stay.
Where to enjoy after sunset
Night life in Rio can be very special and there are many options: Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon´s “Quiosques”; Copacabana sidewalk; Lapa and its alternative bars; good Restaurants, night clubs or just going to the movies.
